RC Tuff Truck Pulling

NE Ohio Tuff Truck Pulling Association - was founded on the principals of good sportsmanship. Also, the promotion of RC pulling events to people of all ages. We are looking to get people into the sport of RC pulling and along the way help out some very good causes such as Akron Children's Hospital, St. Jude Children Research Hospital, Breast Cancer Research to name a few.
Check out the old and new used in forestry. Try your hand at ax tossing, rail splitting, craft making, or enjoy a good story. The Forest Heritage Festival provides a variety of exciting exhibits. There is lots to do for kids. Take a look at a few of the exhibits at past festivals.
There are all types of wood workers demonstrating their skills; such as the chainsaw carver on the left and the the use of the old table scroll saw below to make creative wooden masterpieces.

Our forests are a valuable resource. The Forest Heritage Festival Education Day is an opportunity for students to gain awareness and appreciation for the forest and its industry. They will see through the many displays, demostrations, and activities how important trees are to our every day lives and discover what it takes to get wood products from the forest to our homes.
The event includes several hands-on activities. Educational displays on topics related to the forest such as careers, educational opportunities, and safety. A lumberjack presentation will be in the morning and afternoon with the rest of the activities on-going throughout the day. A special children's area highlighting agriculture in Tuscarawas County is sponsored by Tuscarawas County Farm Bureau.
The Forest Heritage Fesitval is a two-day event , but we devoted Friday for schools. A large number of resource people have worked together to make this a great opportunity for you and your students. You can choose to come all day or half day (morning or afternoon). Walmart can provide a hot dog lunch for $1.50 with advance arrangements. There will be a picnic area for those bringing sack lunches.
If you are interested in attending or have any questions, call Barb Airgood at the Ohio State University Extension office in Tuscarawas County at 330-339-2337. You need to make reservations by October 1 to give us time to make arrangements fo your group.
